- S: This movie is extreme in every sense of the word, but it holds a lot of reason in the way its told. It's hard to push the boundary so far and still stay in context.
- C: So many brilliant shots and odes to other films including the Black Swan and The Shining. Costume, props, and makeup are particularly excellent and elevate the film to the
next level. Only critique is that the sound-design feels a bit excessive, but that is sort-of the point.
- E: This film hums with energy. Arm-rest gripping, nail-biting, close your eyes horror and gore. Top-tier acting from Demi Moore and a great soundtrack are major upsides.
- N: Gory, shocking, terrifying, and thought-provoking in all the right ways. The story is conceptually interesting even though it is simple. You know where the story is headed from the
beginning, but it will shock you over and over how far it goes.
- T: The film received three bonus points: one for excellent costuming/makeup, one for the gore and practicality of the body-switch concept, and one for Denis Quaid's performance which I thought had just the right pizazz.
Everything in this movie is over-the-top and that's the point. Watching this film feels like you are on substances, particularly for the back half. It's outrageously good, and one of the best films of the year. Certainly not for everyone,
but its shock factor helps get the message across.
