- S: Ivana Trump's character seems a bit simplistic and there are a few scenes that feel too simple/straightforward given the complexities of relationships and the Trump family.
- C: The lighting, set-design, and film choices have given the film a great 70s/80s feel that greatly enhances the film.
- E: Great watch, highlighted by Jeremy Strong and Sebastian Stan's performances. Only a little lull in some of the narrative involving Trump's brother and father.
- N: Story is interesting and well structured enough to show character development in a progressive, meaningful way. However, there are some distractions that feel pointless for the main story,
particular a scene with Trump's father regarding a trust.
- T: The film received one bonus point for Sebastian Stan's performance, which I thought was subtle in just the right way. For such an overt character and the presence of so many impressions of him, I thought
Stan's performance made an elegant attempt to portray the nuances and mannerisms without swaying into a comical over-representation.
Interesting, thought-provoking, and insightful view into what made Trump the man he is today. Although it has a fairly negative spin, I think that the story and film itself, while
ignoring all the politics of Donald Trump, is great.
