- Sensibility: An obvious trap in Tijuana, some insane discipline and winnings by a curious gambler, and a horse at the end all detract from the ability to take the story seriously.
- Cinematography: Visually unnappealing throughout. Lackluster framing mixed with far too lacking production design and washed out colors make for a rather ugly viewing experience. There's
so much repetition in the story that more than half the film takes place in just two rooms, both of which are quite bland. On top of this, there are some scenes that are edited out of order
which makes for a curious back and forth in the storyline. Sprinkle on top some awful background musical scoring which often makes the film feel like a cheap Hallmark movie and you've got yourself a real dud.
- Energy: The story is too predictable for it to have as little meaningful content as it does. The repetition with the sex scenes gets very old very quickly and the very disappointing cinematography
doesn't help keep the viewer focused.
- Narrative: The film is basically soft-core porn with no payoff. Dull, repetitive, and little to no content outside of the blatant harping on the main characters' sex appeal. Not only is the film predictable,
but the story feels extremely unimportant to begin with. There are nearly no stakes throughout, and the characters are too one-dimensional in their struggles to provide any intruige to the viewer. The
gambling side of the story feels like it has potential, but then it just ends abruptly without good reason.
- T-Points: The film received one bonus point for a surprisingly nuanced silent moment after Lee picks up Muriel at a compromising moment.
This film is another addition to the all-cast no content slop that so many of these major production companies keep releasing.
