- Sensibility: A bit with a pinch, an early robbery gone wrong, and some incredible technology all feel a bit far-fetched.
- Cinematography: The film has some good, but nothing spectacular. Production design is decent, costuming is functional and interesting, particularly the swat costumes. However, there are some
very off-putting screen-wipe and spin transitions and some curious lighting choices at times.
- Energy: Undoubtedly a fun watch. Only lulls a bit in getting to the heist and in the ending.
- Narrative: The heist has a great level of complexity and the double-duping of the audience and the characters themselves plays well. However, the bit about the pinch and power outtage is lazy writing which introduces more plot holes than good. Additionally, the switch on the love interest at the end is unnecessary
and just makes Tess's character seem ridiculous.
- T-Points: The film received one bonus point for a very glib, strange, and thought-provoking comment "only in the morning."
Solid action thriller. However, there are definitely better versions of this film out there. Perhaps I've been spoiled by my recent watch of the Mission: Impossible series, but
this film just falls a bit short.
