- Sensibility: The film is barely coherent. Conversations about doors, an insane set of interactions at gas stations, particulary one in a gas station bathroom, a series of events at an old couples house with an astronomer husband who must be deaf and a wife who must be as clueless as Adele, miraculous survivals, foolish sparing a, and an insane truck accident are all so far-fetched that the film becomes a comedy.
- Cinematography: Visually rather disappointing, with some very bizarre shot choices and production design that just blends together. The music is extremely derivative and adds almost nothing to the film. However, makeup and hair are quite good and play a rather important role in the film.
- Energy: The frequent interruptions in the ability so suspend disbelief and some very poor acting from nearly all involved makes this a tough watch
- Narrative: The juxtaposition between the introspective narration and serious investigation into serial killers with Early's brain-dead antics draws the film to farce. However, no credit for the film being satire can be awarded because it takes its subjects too seriously and tries to go for an emotional ending which obviously doesn't work. The film regularly edits out the potentially hard hitting dramatic moments in exchange for nothing worthwhile.
- T-Points: The film received one bonus point for a line from Early about a "butt ugly" woman that is hilarious and perfectly encapsulates why this movie doesn't work
At the end of it all, you have to ask what the point of the film was. Gotta be honest, it's pretty hard to come up with one here.
