- S: Only a couple of scenes which seem a bit far-fetched. In particular, the details of an escape/chase scene. On the whole, painfully real.
- C: Some very excellent shots. The sound design in particular is very noticeable and adds tremendously to the film. Also excellent sets and lighting.
- E: Nail-biter the whole way through.
- N: A well told and important story. Particular strong, unfinished, but in a meaningful way, ending.
- T: The film received four bonus points: one for the sounds of the floorboards and clothing and footsteps which are haunting, one for the mystical dream-sequences Jesus experiences,
one for the great acting for a movie with little dialogue, and one for a great, harrowing ending.
This movie reminds me very much of No Child of Mine, another painful movie about child-trafficking. This film is haunting, exactly as a story like this should be. The lighting, set-design, and sound-design
all very noticeably elevate the film and add to the emotional distress it is intended to inflict upon the viewer. Great watch that will definitely leave you unsettled and more thoughtful, just as it intended.
