- Sensibility: A few, almost comically nonsensical, moments give pause, but these fit fairly well into the series as a whole. However, this film brings an additional pervasive question about Spike's behavior and character that distracts from the majority of the film.
- Cinematography: Fairly disappointing imagery on the whole. Lacks the grit and spunk of the first film of the franchise, and mostly regurgitates some of the more dull imagery from the last film. Production design and costuming are excellent and there's nothing inherently bad, but nothing great either.
- Energy: The film labors mostly due to a lacking story and repetitive imagery from the previous films.
- Narrative: The narrative is the weakest element of the film by far. Following a gang of sacrilegious disciples around committing nonsensical violence has none of the survival stakes or meaning of the previous film. Worse yet, the climactic encounter with the devil, although visually interesting, is rather juvenile and silly on the whole mostly due to a sudden reversal of fortune and strange dialogue choices.
- T-Points: The film received one bonus point for a choice to hold binoculars looking from only a single eye-lense.
Major disappointment. The film has none of the passion or artistic vision of the first film and adds very little narratively or visually to the makings of the previous.
